Map Reading and Compass Skills

Map reading and compass work with friends whilst
taking advantage of the fantastic spring weather.

Basic map and compass skills are essential in hilly and remote areas.  Guide books are not always as clear as expected and  signposts are often ambiguous. The use of a map not only prevents you from getting lost but will also help if you need to find an alternative route.
Active Lakes have qualified staff to help you learn either basic or advanced navigation skills .
Join us for a walk across the Lakeland Fells whilst learning a valuable skill.

Larch roses in eggerslack woods
